Ray McGuinness was interviewed recently by The Belfast Telegraph about his iillustious football career that has taken him across the world to South Africa and home again to Derry City. Ray's track record as an athlete is impressive; beginning in the Derry Athletic Academy, playing for Finn Harps aged just 16, sharing the pitch with Owen De Gama, Alex Kristic and Stuart Gauld while playing for Derry city and 12 months in South Africa culminating in his performance in "The African Cup" in front of 100,000 supporters. My encounters with Ray are in his role as a Sports Massage Therapist where he uses his personal experience as an athlete in his work to identify and remedy the aches, pains and injuries endured by footballers, runners. dancers and athletes across all disciplines. Ray is a huge supporter of Irish sport and culture and we were honoured that he chose to wear one of our jerseys in his photo for this feature article. Ray recently travelled to Portugal to support competing athletes and again supported our Irish brand on his travels. Based in Derry, Ray can be contacted for appointments on Facebook or Messenger.
